Terms

The terms in this document cover our terms and conditions for our training and services. For our bespoke solutions service, you will receive different terms and conditions which are bespoke to your organisation.

It is important you take the time to read the terms and conditions as they inform you about who we are and how we provide our services and training courses, how we manage changes and if a problem should arise how we will resolve it.

Website Service Availability

We will endeavour to make this website available at all times, however it may be necessary for us to suspend all or part of our services for repairs, maintenance or other reasons. We may do so without any prior notice.

River Training Services Ltd, its affiliates, contributors and partners are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising out of your use or inability to use the website.

The content of this website is subject to change without prior notice and is for general information. We strive to ensure the accuracy of the information, but we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability or availability with respect to the website or the information, products, services or related graphics on the website for any purpose.

River Training Services Ltd reserves the right to update or change this disclaimer at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the website. The continued use of the website after changes are made, constitutes of the new terms.

Booking Courses

It is your own responsibility to ensure that any service, information or course available through our website meet your specific requirements.

River Training Services Ltd may facilitate online transactions. Users engaging in such transactions agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Receipt of your enquiry will be confirmed via email. If any further information is required, we will contact you via telephone or email details provided.

Once your order is accepted, you will receive written confirmation with all the relevant information. Registration is complete upon receipt of full payment for selected courses.

Your Right to Cancel or Make Changes

You have the right to cancel your order up to 14 days of course delivery and receive a full refund. The refund will be paid in the same method as the payment, unless mutually agreed off if not possible. Cancellation rights will be stipulated on your terms and conditions for the given services/products. Any refund made payable to you will be made within 14 days of receipt of cancellation.

You have the right to make changes to the training course you are booked on 14 days before course delivery, permitting availability for the course you wish to change to. If we are able accommodate, we will advise you of any price changes, timing and any further details via email.

If you are unable to attend the training due to extenuating circumstances, we may defer your booking to an alternative course in the same calendar year, subject to availability. It is at the discretion of River Training Services Ltd if there is no availability in the same calendar year. Charges may apply.

River Training Services Ltd right to make changes

In some instances, we may be unable to fulfil registration because of the following reasons but not limited to:

– We are booked at full capacity
– Organisational reasons we are unable to provide the service/product
– Restrictions due to legal, postal or other reasons, you may not be eligible to register for selected services/products
– Failure of payment

River Training Services Ltd reserves the right to modify course content, schedule or trainers as deemed necessary.

Significant Changes

In instances where significant changes need to be made by River Training Services Ltd, we will notify you as early as possible to allow rescheduling of the same course. We will honour you to transfer your booking to another individual at no extra cost. If you wish to transfer onto another course, a transfer fee may be payable.

Transferring your Booking

If you wish to transfer on to another course or transfer your registration to another individual, please contact River Training Services Ltd on 0121 5141080/0121 5141081.

Transfer to another individual is at no extra cost.

Transfer to another course is subject to a fee:
– 4 weeks before course delivery the transfer is at no extra cost
– Less than 4 weeks to course delivery, an admin fee of up to £25 will be charged.

Suitability for Training

It is the responsibility of the individual, booking on to the course, to ensure its suitability which could affect their capability and health conditions. River Training Services Ltd welcomes learners with disabilities, but it is the responsibility of the employer to ensure that the learner is supported in their workplace. We advise any assistance the learner requires, is notified to our team at the time of booking to allow reasonable adjustments to be made.

It is important the learners have a basic command of English. We are often able to provide support for learners who do not have English as their first language but due to some restraints, we may not always be able to make special arrangements.

Training Information

We will provide course joining instructions with details of the course location 4 weeks before the course delivery.
We will contact you as soon as possible if there are any delays which are outside of our control, and we will take steps to minimise any impact from the delay. Any risk of substantial delays may lead to rescheduling and booking you on to an alternative date or equivalent course.

It is your responsibility to provide us with the correct spelling of your name. It is your responsibility to provide us with any details of additional assistance required. River Training Services are not responsible for incorrect spelling or complications in the day of course delivery caused by information not provided.

Failure of assessment/exam, dependent on resit terms and conditions, may require you to resit the training again at the full cost of the course.

Attendance and Punctuality

Learners are expected to attend all classes punctually. Absence without prior notice may result in dismissal from the course without a refund. Sessions may be offered at the discretion of River Training Services Ltd.

Code of Conduct

Learners are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully towards trainers and fellow students.

Any form of harassment, discrimination or disruptive behaviour may result in immediate dismissal from the course without a refund.

If we have cause for concern that a learner’s participation could cause injury or offence to themselves or others, we reserve the right to refuse the learner to participate.

Learners will be removed from the training if, in our reasonable opinion, they are under the influence of drugs/alcohol.

Learners will be denied access if they do not meet the minimum age requirement for the training.

Removal for any of the above will not entitle a refund.

Use of Content

The content on this website is the property of River Training Services Ltd. Unauthorised use of the content may lead to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offense.

You may not modify, reproduce, republish, distribute, display or transmit any part of this website without the prior written consent of River Training Services Ltd. Unauthorised use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.

Intellectual Property

Termination of Enrolment

River Training Services Ltd reserves the right to terminate a learner’s enrolment for violation of these terms and conditions or for any other justifiable reason.

Price and Payment

Prices for most products and services are clearly set out on our website. An enquiry form must be submitted for prices on bespoke services/products.

Payments for all courses booked via our website must be made in advance Debit/Credit Card. We also accept payment via bank transfer. Full payment must be made when booking from our website.

Limitation of Liability

In no event will River Training Services Ltd be liable for any loss or damage including without limitation, indirect or consequential loss or damage, or any loss or damage whatsoever arising from loss of data or profits arising out of, or in connection with, the use of this website.

Personal Data

Our Data Protection registration number is ZB620096. Your name and contact details will be used to send you joining instructions and your certificate. We are also required to provide your name and contact details to the awarding body to obtain your certificate and course feedback.

We will send you emails if your course is due to expire and requires refreshing. Please advise us if you do not wish to receive reminders.

Courses require proof of ID to be provided.

Your details are stored for 5 years after you have completed your course.
